The DeKalb County School District will administer the PSAT 8 to all 8th grade students. DeKalb County School District will pay for all 8th grade students to take the PSAT 8 on October 11, 2017. The test will be administered at Henderson Middle School during school hours. Parents and students may prepare for this assessment. Google: 2017 PSAT 8/9 Student Guide-The College Board. This site will provide important test details and familiarize students with question types. Remember, this is just practice!

The point of the PSAT 8/9 is to provide insight into the subject areas where you need to make the most score improvements before you take the PSAT and ultimately the SAT. The PSAT 8/9 has no stakes - it’s just a way to see how you’re doing without any consequences. This is a WONDERFUL opportunity. Your child will receive their personal "Score Report" along with the book they used to take their test. They will also receive an Access Code to view their full report and results on-line and suggestions for improvement. Please do not miss the opportunity to take the PSAT.

There is no need to contact Henderson at this time. You will be asked to send a letter prior to October 11th if you do not want your child to participate.
